I looked up the word "fabulous" (to make sure I spelled it right!) on Answers.com. Here's what they say:
1. Barely credible; astonishing: the fabulous endurance of a marathon runner.
2. Extremely pleasing or successful: a fabulous vacation.
3. a. Of the nature of a fable or myth; legendary.
b. Told of or celebrated in fables or legends.
The part I like is this: extremely pleasing or successful. Now, here's the rub - if you think what you're attempting to do is is barely credible, than it may well be; and if you expect your journey to be "told of or celebrated in fables or legends", then you're really asking way too much. However, if what you seek is to have your efforts be "extremely pleasing or successful" - ah, THAT I think you can do!
The trouble for most of us who struggle with weight issues, or physical maladies, or who need identity or attitudinal adjustments, is that we expect too much! That sets us up for failure. So, the secret of success, I think, is to make one's goal do-able, and YOU-able. For now, I'll focus on 10 pounds, 1 inch, and 3 new habits. That is, by April 1 I'd like to lose 10 pounds of weight, transform 1 inch of belly flab, and adopt the habits of flossing nightly, drinking water with every meal, and exercising 15 minutes a day. Those are some small steps I think I can do. In fact, I WILL do.
How about you?

from Fit to FABulous!
This is a journal of a journey. Improving health is not enough - getting it ALL together is what we seek! We will focus here on getting physically fit, yes, but also on getting mentally healthy, and spiritually rich. In short, this blog will journal the trail from Fit to FABulous - for those of us who so choose...
